Clayton Federated Women’s Club

General Meeting October 8, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 11:35. Darlene Walker led us in prayer; Anna Baun led the Club Collect and Jamie Blanks led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Jamie Blanks gave program on conservation in your home.

Jamie Blanks read minutes and then asked if there were any corrections to the minutes. Minutes for September meeting were approved.

Sue Richardson gave the treasurer’s report which indicated that no changes were made during the month of September.

Darlene Walker announced that the next art meeting would be a Jewelry Class at Karan’s gallery on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 1:00

Jamie Blanks announced that the Civic Group meeting would be on Oct 22, 2009.

Ethel Bennifield won door prize.

Unfinished Business

Clayton Community Art Center discussion was held and Sue Richardson made motion to continue exploring Art Center possibilities. Ruth second motion. Motion passed and committee was formed which included Karan Brower, Sue Richardson, Pat Chavez, Corrine Smith, Jamie Blanks, Edith Lois Priest, Carol Childress.

New Business

Steve Smith Concert- Nov 6^th – Main Street and Museum cooperative production at Luna Theater

Announcements included

Nut forms due Oct 28^th to Sue Richardson.

Christmas Bazaar is Nov 14^th & 15^th. Sign up at next meeting for shifts.
